Know Before You Go
- Carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/DL) for every traveller — hotels and some checkpoints ask for it.
- Pack according to Maharashtra's season — check the local weather a few days before departure and pack accordingly.
- Keep your booking voucher and driver/vehicle details handy (sent by Tripleads after confirmation).
- Please be ready at the pickup point 10–15 minutes before the scheduled time to keep the itinerary on track.
- Carry some cash for personal expenses, tips and anything not covered under Inclusions — card/UPI acceptance can be patchy in remote areas.
- Mobile network can be weak in ghats, valleys and remote stretches of the route — inform family of your rough schedule in advance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. How far is Bangalore from Pune by road?
Bangalore is about 840 km from Pune. The drive takes roughly 13 to 15 hours, and most travellers split it into two days with a halt at Hubballi.
Q2. How many days are needed for Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg and Ooty from Pune?
Eight days is the minimum, and ten days is the comfortable plan. With elders or children, eleven days gives you easier drives on the return.
Q3. Can this trip be done in 3 days?
No, not by road from Pune. The driving alone takes more than three days. If you have fewer days, we can plan a shorter trip, such as Kolhapur, Belagavi or Mahabaleshwar, or a plan that starts from Bangalore.
Q4. What is the best time to visit Coorg and Ooty?
October to February is the most comfortable. The monsoon is green but very wet, and landslides can affect roads. Ooty is cold in winter, and both places are crowded in April and May.
Q5. Do we need any permit for Karnataka and Tamil Nadu?
Yes, cabs crossing state borders need inter-state permits and may pay state taxes. Ooty can also have visitor entry registration rules. We confirm the current rules and include the charges in your quotation.
Q6. Is it safe to drive through Bandipur and Mudumalai?
Yes, in daylight. The forest roads have night traffic restrictions and wildlife can cross the road, so we plan to cross them before dark.
Q7. Which is better, Coorg or Ooty?
It depends on your taste. Coorg is quieter, with coffee estates and waterfalls. Ooty is more of a classic hill station, with gardens, a lake and tea slopes. This circuit gives you both.
